co-chaired by Jim Cornell and Darci Cramer
Featuring special guest Jillian Hanesworth, Buffalo's first Poet Laureate
Thursday, April 25 from 6-8pm
$100 per person
As Peaceprints of WNY continues our work of helping individuals returning to the community from incarceration, we strive to find new and exciting ways to engage our community and generate change.
In our efforts to expand our impact and share the stories of those we serve, we are bringing back our a client art show for a second year!
Capturing the excitement and ambiance of a gallery opening, the event will feature artwork created by Peaceprints clients who have elected to participate in the in-jail art classes offered through Peaceprints in collaboration with Locust Street Art.
The art, which will be displayed alongside a statement from the artists will be available for purchase throughout the evening, with a portion of the art sales going directly to the artists.
Ample free parking is available. Tickets include client art display, open bar, hors'd'oeuvres, live music, and a key note address by Jillian Hanesworth, Buffalo's first poet laureate. All attendees will be entered into a free drawing to win a signed copy of Jillian's book: The Revolution Will Rhyme.
